Joanna Thomas is a Brisbane based Botanical artist working with graphite and coloured pencils. In her former life she was a high school art teacher for 19+ years and currently is a full-time contemporary artist, exhibiting all over Australia and Internationally. Joanna has won awards for her graphite works in 2022 and 2024.
Joanna is a member of the Brisbane Botanical Artists, the Botanical Art Society of Australia, the American Society of Botanical Artists, and was awarded a Fellowship with the Society of Botanical Artists (UK) in 2024.

Florence Joly was born in France and moved to Brisbane, joining the Botanical Art Society of Queensland in 2012. A graphic designer by trade, her love for macro photography opened a new window into the botanical world. She specialises in coloured pencils focusing on close up details.
She exhibited with the society over numerous years and was part of the touring exhibition Artistic Endeavour, a contemporary response to the legacy of Banks, Solander and Parkinson in 2020.
She started teaching coloured pencils classes in 2019.
