Florence Joly was born in France and moved to Brisbane, joining the Botanical Art Society of Queensland in 2012. A graphic designer by trade, her love for macro photography opened a new window into the botanical world. She specialises in coloured pencils focusing on close up details.

She exhibited with the society over numerous years and was part of the touring exhibition Artistic Endeavour, a contemporary response to the legacy of Banks, Solander and Parkinson in 2020.

She started teaching coloured pencils classes in 2019.

Narae Kim is a botanical artist based in Brisbane, born in Seoul, South Korea, she moved to Queensland in 2020.

She studied history at university and has always loved art history and natural history; her interest in botanical art was an inevitable result.

She mostly works with watercolour paints, and also loves to explore new materials. 

She has taught multiple botanical art classes and tutored students of all ages in Korea, and has exhibited many times.

She is a member of Brisbane Botanical Artists Group and the Botanical Art Society of Australia. 

In 2026, her watercolour artwork, Eranthemum pulchellum, had been highly commended at the BASA Exhibition at the Melbourne International Flower and Garden Show.
